Airship Ventures

Invented by Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin in the 1890's and the first aircraft to travel around the world, Zeppelin's now incorporate modern aviation technoloies, give exciting passenger trips and provide unparalleled marketing opportunities.

At 246 feet long and 57 feet high and 50 feet longer the the largest existing blimp, our new Zeppelin NT Airship "Eureka" comfortably accommodates one pilot, 12 passengers, a flight attendant and includes luxury features including oversized panoramic windows, an onboard restroom (also with a window) as well as a 180-degree rear observation window and "love seat" that engulfs the entire aft of the cabin. Using the inert gas "helium" for lift and vectored thrust engines for flight, Zeppelin NT's have been flying in Germany and Japan since 2001 with a flawless safety record.

About Our Tours

Airship Ventures operates regular daily passenger service from within the Silicon Valley as well as to the San Francisco Bay from Moffett Field in Mountain View and the North Field of the Oakland Airport in California. Additional tours are offered in Monterey departing from the Marina Airport and in Long Beach operating adjacent to the Long Beach Airport in California.

The Ship

NT- New Technology with State-of-the-Art Engineering

The Zeppelin NT (New Technology) is designed to have the highest operating safety standards combined with exceptional passenger comfort and visibility.

Comprised of a multi-layer laminate material created by the same company that manufactures the the NASA space suits, the Airship hull is filled with non-flammable and inert "Helium".

Semi-Rigid Structure

The unique stability of the Airship is based on the semi-rigid inner structure made of aluminum and carbon fiber. All the main components such as the cabin, engines and empennage are mounted directly to this framework. This semi-rigid construction enables exceptional flight performance and allows for a quiet and enjoyable passenger experience. The resulting low vibration also makes the Zeppelin NT an ideal platform for scientific missions allowing for sensitive test equipment to be mounted on board.

Remote Landing Abilities

The mobility of the Zeppelin is almost unlimited within its operational ranges. No runway is required, only a mobile mast truck to secure the Airship overnight or during re-fueling and 600 feet in diameter of swing space in order to land.
