American River Raft Rentals
Since 1974, American River Raft Rentals Inc. has become the largest and most experienced rafting company in California offering self-guided raft trips on the lower American River. This class I - II river flows through the scenic American River Parkway. With all of the parkway’s natural beauty you would never guess you were just a few miles east of downtown Sacramento!
Shuttle Bus Service:
Our shuttle fleet returns you back to Sunrise between 2:00*pm to 6:00*pm.
Shuttle tickets must be purchased in advance.
Shuttle service is $3.50 per person.

California law prohibits pets on shuttle buses. *
Convenient Location:
Because of our excellent riverside location and two acre park, American River Raft Rentals Inc. is able to organize rafting trips for groups of any size. Our oak studded park offers picnic tables, running water and restrooms, all available for our customers. Besides rafting the Lower American River, the Sacramento area has plenty to offer the out-of-towner. There are theaters, art galleries, night clubs, museums, "Old Sacramento", "Old Town Folsom", many fine restaurants, "Water World" at Cal Expo, and of course, the State Fair in August.
American River Raft Rentals support: "Save the American River Association", "American River Parkway Foundation", and "American River Natural History Asociation."

Return shuttle service from Goethe Park is $3.50 per person. Sacramento County requires a $2.00 launch fee for each water craft.
DAMAGE WAIVER: Covers up to $100 of damage done to raft only. It does not cover loss, theft, abuse, or destruction of any equipment.
GROUP RATES: For groups renting five or more rafts, a 10% discount will be given on your raft rental fee. Discount not available during holiday periods.
MORNING CHARTER SHUTTLE: Service for groups of 30 or more are available. Advance reservations and deposit required. Please call for details.
PAYMENT ACCEPTED: Mastercard, Visa, ATM, or cash. Sorry, no personal checks accepted. I.D. – The contract signer for your group will need a California Drivers License or a Military I.D. and be 18 or older. A drivers license or bank card must be left until equipment is turned in.

River Store:
Should you forget something or come on the spur of the moment, we sell sodas, snacks, sandwiches, suntan lotion, beer, ice and other miscellaneous items for your summertime enjoyment.
