Cetrella is situated in downtown Half Moon Bay, a popular seaside ‘escape’ just over the hill from Silicon Valley. The restaurant is located on Main Street in close proximity to the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Half Moon Bay Lodge, The Beach House and two world class golf courses.

Cetrella is located in the renovated historic Half Moon Bay Growers Association building, used by Italian farmers to ship produce for over five decades. The restaurant blends casual elegance with rustic charm, using rich woods, natural stone and warm colors.

Spanning three dining rooms, the Bistro’s soaring ceilings reveal the restored original massive wood beams and a 60-foot ridged skylight. One dining room overlooks a sparkling exhibition kitchen; two others include stone fireplaces, table seating and cozy upholstered booths.

An indoor/outdoor terrace, accessible off of the Bar, features a fireplace with a “sit-around” counter top, and beautifully arched casement windows that open out onto the town’s main street.

Cuisine:

Our Executive Chef prepares flavorful dishes inspired by the coastal villages of Italy, Spain and North Africa. Specialties include wood-oven roasted whole fish, succulent pork, lamb and poultry cooked on the rotisserie and house-made pastas. Our cuisine is prepared with liberal use of the local coastal bounty, including seasonal produce, cheese from nearby artisans and fresh harbor seafood.

The Bar menu features Spanish-influenced small plates and wood oven pizzas. An extensive raw bar menu is available in both the main dining room and the Bar. An after dinner menu includes exquisite house specialty desserts, and the day’s cheese selection from our unique European cheese storage and aging room.

Michael O'Neill, as reviewed by Michael Bowen, “..sounds as if he could improvise all night without ever repeating himself once. He hovers between mastery and greatness. His saxophone work is extraordinary.” Michael has been active in the last several years in the Bay Area, leading various types of jazz groups. Besides his small group performances, Michael has performed with several of the Bay Area's leading big bands including a two year stint with the Contemporary Jazz Orchestra. He has played at all the leading jazz venues in the Bay Area including Yoshi´s, Jazz at Pearl´s, the Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society and Bruno´s, both as a leader of his own groups and as a sideman with others.
