Function Rooms

Peacock Court
The Peacock Court is San Francisco history. Eleven presidents, countless royalty, heads of state, international celebrities, and dignitaries have been received within these walls. During the '40s, scores of famous big bands, including Tommy Dorsey, Glen Miller, and Rudy Valle, performed live radio broadcasts in this room. World War II GIs stood in snake-like lines down California Street for hours, just for a chance to swing to their favorite musicians in the famous Peacock Court.

Located on the Lobby level, Peacock Court is a grand room with floor-to-ceiling windows along one wall. A large stage at the front of the room enables flexibility in function setup. Ideal for social events or meetings with audio-visual requirements.

Whether you need to accommodate 800 for a reception, 600 for an auditorium configuration, or 420 for a gala banquet, the Peacock Court's grand style will leave your guests completely satisfied and thoroughly impressed.

Room of The Dons
Of all the Mark Hopkins San Francisco's artistic and architectural treasures, some of the finest are the nine murals depicting early California in the Room of The Dons. These seven-foot-high panels were painted by two of California's most famous Western artists, Maynard Dixon and Frank Van Sloun, whose works may be seen in museums and discerning private collections across the country. These priceless murals were completed by the artists for the Mark Hopkins' first grand opening 3rd December 1926.
