The River Otter Water Taxi

The River Otter Water Taxi is owned and operated by Waterfront Area Visitor & Entertainment Services, a nonprofit affiliate of the Sacramento Metro and the West Sacramento chambers of commerce, and is partially supported by the cities of Sacramento and West Sacramento. WAVES is a leader in efforts to make the Sacramento River a centerpiece for the region.

Schedule:

The River Otter Water Taxi operates regular passenger service from April through the end of October. Charter info can be found on the charter page. Listed below are the weekday and weekend departure times for each stop along the river. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. The entire loop up and down the river takes about an hour. Passengers may disembark and reboard at any stop along the way on the same ticket. Reservations are recommmended due to the popularity of the water taxi.

Charters are available year round.

Charters:

One to 24 people welcome; we are available year round, weather permitting. Charters need to be minimum two hour. Call for availability.
