Your Responsibility Code:
Skiing can be enjoyed in many ways. At ski areas you may see people using alpine, snowboard, telemark, cross country and other specialized ski equipment, such as that used by disabled or other skiers. Regardless of how you decide to enjoy the slopes, always show courtesy to others and be aware that there are elements of risk in skiing that common sense and personal awareness can help reduce. Observe the code listed below and share with other skiers the responsibility for a great skiing experience.
“Those of us who live and work here take our responsibility to care for the mountain environment very seriously—not because we have to, but because we are all environmentalists at heart,” said General Manager John Rice. “It takes a strong commitment to maintain balance when our forest is used for recreation. By ensuring that sound environmental practices are followed in every aspect of our operations, we deliver on that commitment.”
Sierra-at-Tahoe Snowsport Resort is conveniently located on Highway 50, 12 miles west of South Lake Tahoe and offers complimentary shuttle service daily. Sierra-at-Tahoe receives an average of 480 inches of snow annually and its wind-protected slopes are a best bet on storm days.
